Could My Recent Nosebleeds Be Due To Dry Air Or Are They More Likely A Side Effect Of Being On Coumadin And Aspirin For Years?
I m 79 and am on coumadin everyday and take one 80 mg of aspirin. I never had nosebleeds as an adult but recently in the past couple of months I have experienced a couple nose bleeds and had one last week and two so far this week. They are usually only lasting for around 8 to 10 minutes and I m using a humidifier more regularly. In fact I have it going right now and feel 100% better and the bleeding had stopped before I turn the humidifier on. Is it coming from dry air in my apartment or being on coumadin for the past 28 years.
When you are on Coumadin and nose bleeding or bleeding from many other sites of the body are there, then you have to get your prothrombin levels and INR levels done.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
