Can Steroid Injects Combined With The Anti-inflammatory Cause Nose Bleeds?
I have an acquaintance that has been receiving steroid injections for an orthopedic issue and has also been on anti-inflammatory medication. He has now developed nosebleeds. Could the steroid injects combined with the anti-inflammatory be responsible for the nosebleeds? The anti-inflammatory is NOT aspirin.
Anti inflammatory and steroids can increase the chances of bleeding. Seen the duration for which you have been taking these medications, they could be a possible cause. However, they are several other possible causes of nosebleeds. You would need to get a good medical examination and may be some testing to look for ore common causes like trauma, bleeding abnormalities, low platelets, etc. Also, a good proportion of clients with nose bleeds have no clear cause even after examination and testing.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free too ask for more information if need be. Thank you so much for using our services.
