Could My Sore Gums And Other Symptoms Be Related To A Cold Or Respiratory Infection?
i have sore gums it started with a stuffy nose to a runny nose then i sneeze but then a cough when i take a deep breath i can also here mucous in my chest when i breath deeply and exhale..ive been more sleepy then usual but the main issue is the inside of my bottom gums toward the back are really sore.. the pit under my tongue where the gum and the floor of my mouth meet.
Yes, it is definitely possible that there is a correlation. Aphthous ulcers are sores that occur in mouth, one cause is during a viral illness such as a cold because of the weakness of the immune system. The sore will resolve on its own but the use of a cold compresses and soothing or antiseptic mouth washes may help the process.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
