Could Nausea, Headaches With Incessant Hunger Be A Sign Of Pregnancy?
I have been nauseated feeling, exhausted, constant headaches, and wanting to eat all the time just to combat the nausea for the last 3 weeks. Then today I have been the most uncomfortable as I've ever been in my clothes and when I went in for routine blood work and they told me I would have to wait (because I ate lunch) I almost instantly started crying for no apparent reason. I have been on the Depo shot for about 4 months now (I was on birth control prior to it as well) and saw my primary physician who ran a urine pregnancy test which came back negative. Is there a chance that the urine test is wrong? What do you think my chances of being pregnant are?
Hi there, I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.
1 ) First of all do not panic.
2 ) As you are on depo shots , chance of getting pregnant are almost nil. I will suggest you to get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. In case of doubt blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.
3 ) In case of negative pregnancy test results, your symptoms can be due to hormone progesterone in the depo shot. I will suggest you to opt for a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen. Avoiddeep fried foods, bakery products and refined sugars. Start on Folic acid , Vitamin B 12 and Calcium supplements on daily basis.
I hope this answer helps you . Thanks. Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar.
