Could Oily Bubbles In Urine Be The Symptoms Of Proteinuria?

I have oily bubbles in my urine, male, 20. Tested negative for all STIs 6 weeks ago. Exercise daily and have a relatively good diet- however I did (until noticing the bubbles) have an increased intake of protein foods (however no shakes or supplements). All symptoms seem to point to proteinuria- I have stopped eating protein and upped my water intake as a result. Do you agree with the diagnosis and if so is there anything else I can do?

Hello,
in nephrotic syndrome lipiduria is a potential finding. To confirm or exclude the diagnosis you need a 24 hour urine collection to check for protein levels. The normal values are below 150mg per day.
Since the "finding" is not specific enough a urinalysis would be more appropriate to start with.
I hope I've helped!
