Could On And Off Chest Pain Be Related To Bruise Like Marks On Knuckles And Arms?

Hi. Hoping I m being an over cautious mum! I saw my 20 year old son today. He has unexplained marks over his knuckles - (no he hasn t been fighting!) and also under both arms. They don t itch and look just like bruises. In case it s connected, he gets occasional chest pains, but has had a thorough heart check and there is nothing wrong. He s active and fit.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

They are not related to heart issues or any other disease. Possibly he hit them or did them while training. If he is taking aspirin or any blood thinners can make bruising more easy.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
