Could On And Off Hoarse And Strained Voice Be Related To Being Depressed And Mood Swings?
I periodically suffer from a hoarse and strained voice. This is usually associated with times of feeling low in mood and when I interact with others I project a strained demeanour and voice tone. The periodic nature of the problem leads me to conclude that the strained voice is not due to a goitre located in the right lobe of my thryroid gland.I was wondering if the cause relates to feeling depressed? I have had problems of mild to moderate depression in the past.
Hi, I am Dr. Samiron Roy, For periodical hoarseness of voice you have to get: 1.ENT check up if there is any Vocal cord pathology, 2.Endocrinology check up for any Thyroid problem in the form of T3, T4, TSH blood estimation. 3. Psychiatrist check up for Depression etc.
Then only your proper treatment can be started.
