Could On And Off Shooting Pain In Left Forearm Be Due To Cold?
Hi I get this shooting pain up my left forearm ( but only on the right hand side of it). It s like a sharp pain for a second but then stops and may start again anything from a few seconds to a few hours later. It s been happening for a while now. Is it happening due to the cold or is there any reason for it ? Thanks for your help :) Rebecca.
I would say that such sort of pain is not due to cold. It seems to be a neurological related pain...... meaning. ...due to nerve irritation. The site of irritation seems to be the neck as you are experiencing pain in the entire arm.
Treatment: 1. Methycobalamine and Dexamethasone injection for 5 days. 2. Pregablin and Duloxetine tablets for pain suppression. 3. Cervical Isometric exercises learned from a physiotherapist.
Further treatment will depend on xray reading and clinical examination.
I hope my advice has helped. Good luck

Hi there. I would say that such sort of pain is not due to cold. It seems to be a neurological related pain...... meaning. ...due to nerve irritation. The site of irritation seems to be the neck as you are experiencing pain in the entire arm. Kindly start by getting a X ray of the neck region to check for any cervical spondylitis. Good luck
