Could Oversleeping Have Been Caused By Morphine?

the thur night before she gave birth, they had put a balloon in to help open her. pain got so bad she went back and they gave her morphine. Then she still couldn t open, she had an epideral, but had to do a c section. all sat and today all he does is sleep his blood sugars are low, and won t eat now. could that have been from morphine

Morphine is centrally acting opoid analgesic medication, which is given to relieve pain.
One of the common side effect by its administration is sedation. Hence some of them would certainly experience sleeping for a longer duration or drowsiness after its administration for a couple of days.
Gradually, they should be back to normal.
