Could Pain And Constant Dry Feeling With Stretching Skin Around Eyes Be Due To Smoking?

Hi
I have got painful constantly dry feeling and stretching skin around my eyes.
Im convinced it has been the result of years of smoking.
I have now stopped smoking but the pain around my eyes is not improving.
Applying moisturising cream eases the pain but is no cure - can you please advise.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having pain and dryness of skin around the eyes. This occurs because of allergic or contact dermatitis of the skin around the eyelids.
Smoking as you have told can cause black discoloration of skin but dryness is usually caused by allergic or contact dermatitis.
The treatment is by use of antihistaminic or steroid creams. Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
