Smoking Addict, Have Regular Headaches, Tests Showed High Cylindrical Power, Dryness In Eyes. Is It Related To Smoking?

Recently, i have consult a eye doctor due to regular headaches every day. Doctor told me i have -2 cylindrical power. he told me to wear eyeglasses . he also told me that i have a dryness in my eyes which may be ccaused due to smoking. my question is i am not able to quit smoking . if i start smoking does it further effect on my eyes... is cylindrical power has anything concern with smoking? is headaches can be cause by dryness in eyes? please help..

Hi Raman,
This type of headache is very common presentation in cases of eye problem. As you are having -2 cylindrical power this can be the most important cause which is giving you constant headache.
One thig is important that you have to start this glass to prevent this headache.
Another problem is dryness in the eye for which many times artificial tears are prescribed and this helps in controlling the problem. In your case this problem is associated with smoking. This smoking can be the cause of this and it is good that you try to come over this bad habit.
I would suggest you to convince your self for this and take help form some doctor who can prescibe you the medication which can help you to come over this smoking problems also.
