Could Pain In Chest Post A Fall Indicate Cracked Bone?

Fell down the steps in June of 2014, doctor gave medicine for a pulled hip muscle. I am now experiencing pain in a spot close to my heart. Had a EKG done and heart looks good. Wondering if I cracked a bone in my chest when I fell. Hurts in chest badly when I cut grass and I get out of breath quickly.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

X-ray chest can be [erect PA and oblique chest X-rays]. Moreover, these are like a minor line like breakage which can heal on its own. Take Advil [SOS] for pain if pain cannot be controlled. Then, some drugs the physician can prescribed are to take Calci chew with meals for 7 days. Diet should be lots of fruits, vegetables and salads. Drink 8-9 glasses of water, 15 mins before or after a meal, not immediately. Do guided meditation [art of living], it heals faster.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
