Could Pain In Groin Radiating To The Knee Be Symptoms Of Hip Socket Tear?

The website suggests that I might have a hip socket tear. However, it did not ask if I had leg pain. I have had much pain from my groin all the way down to my knee. Standing and walking are really difficult. Would these symptoms be characteristic of a hip socket tear?

You didnot describe how the pain appeared. Hip socket tear or labrum tear may be due to falls or sporting injuries when the hip is forced into extreme positions. It can also be damaged by repetitive trauma in sports that require regular rotation of the hip.
Some people experience no pain from a labral tear but most will feel pain or ache in their groin, over the lateral hip, or deep in their buttock region. Acetabular labral tears often cause a feeling of the leg "catching" or "clicking" in the hip socket as you move it. It may also feel like the hip is locking up. Some people get a feeling of giving way within the hip. Radiating pain to the knee along with difficulty in walking is also may be there.
So the pattern of pain you ate experiencing may be due to hip socket or labrum tear. A proper history with clinical examination is needed to get a diagnosis as these symptoms may also happen in other hip pathologies too. It is difficult to get a specific diagnosis without a MRI or MRA (a special MRI looking at joints and requiring an injection into the joint) or by arthroscopic hip surgery.
