Could Pain In Leg And Back Be Normal Post ESWL Procedure For Kidney Stones?
I got Dj plus eswl treatment three days ago, now i got severe pain in my left kidney and left leg, and mild back pain , is it normal? Will pain go after some day? What could be the reason for these pain? Has any of my internal part got damaged during eswl procedure? Please guide me
Hello! Thank you for asking on HCM! treating kidney stones with ESWL is a very attractive and efficacious method in many situation. it may avoid invasive trans-urethral procedures and even surgery. But sometimes it may be associated with some complications, such as pain (when small remnant stones particles move and irritate mucosa; or in extreme situations even tissue damages (when kidney stones are quite adjacent to renal parenchyma in that case hematoma, and even A-V fistulas may occur).
