Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am taking CipVal, Entamizole, and Nexum for my stomachache. I started experiencing headache after the first dosage so I took a panadol. The pain subsided. Now after 7 hours, I have taken the same dose again and I am experiencing a headache again. Is it possible that my medication is causing this?
A headache is the most common side effect of Nexum. About 2 to10 per cent people taking Nexum do experience a headache. So, yes, this may be the cause of your headache. You can talk to your doctor as we may advise other acid suppression drugs like Zantac for your stomach problems.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
