Could Painful Hands And Fingers With Hot Flashes Post Non Penetrative Sex Indicate HIV?
Please help. About 6 months ago I recieved unprotected fellatio from someone I barely new. The person swallowed my semen in the process..I ask the person about their hiv status and she said it was negative..about at the 3 month mark I started getting real anxious and experience aches in my hands and fingers...it was getting annoying so I went to the doc and did blood work...it wasn t an hiv test but my doc said everything look normal...I haven t experienced any fevers rash sore throat...I took an oraquick test and it was negative...at 5 month mark close to 6 months I took another test. It was negative...I m still getting aches in my hands and fingers...for the past two weeks I ve been getting hot flashes. I m I at risk of hiv?

To really make sure and set your mind at ease you need to get Qualitative PCR test for HIV. However, there is little to no risk of getting or transmitting HIV from oral sex. In theory, transmission of HIV is possible if an HIV-positive man ejaculates in his partner's mouth during oral sex. Thus, the person should be more worried than you. However, the risk is still very low, and much lower than with anal or vaginal sex. For your the body aches you described please refer to a rheumatologist.
