Could Painful Lump In The Clitoris Be Due To Swollen Lymph Node?

Hi I have a painful spot to the left of my clitoris and am wondering if it could be a lymph node or vein. The spot was more swollen 2 days ago and has since become less swollen, it's still tender to the touch but not disrupting every day activities, etc. There is no visible discoloration or lesion. It is exactly between the inner labia and clitoral hood so it really isn't on the clitoris or hood itself. Doesn't seem to be an ingrown hair or pimple since there is no head. When I first tried touching it to get a better look, I found it was sorta beneath the skin and not at the surface the way a pimple or herpes would be, and felt like a long swollen rope or tube, or maybe a tendon. I had had sex the before but nothing out of the ordinary. No history of herpes but had hpv diagnosis many years ago. My paps have been normal for about 10 years and even when they weren't nirmal, there were never visible warts or anything. What could this painful spot be? Thanks.
