Could Painful Lump On Buttocks Be Related To Severe Stenosis Between L5 And S1?

When sitting I feel like I'm sitting on a lump or mass in my right buttock. Very painful when sitting but not standing or walking. I do have Severe Stenosis between the L5 and S1 and considering a laminectomy but I don't feel as though the lump/mass in my right buttock is related to the L5 and S1 issue. What could it be?

Are you able to feel dimension of mass or just hard feeling. Some time spinal canal compression causes nerve compression and this causes numbness in area and feel like lump. An ultrasound will surely help to diagnosis.
