Could Painful, Numb Hand Be Related To Multilevel Degenerative Changes Of Lumbar Spine?

I am a 47 years old male. Due to a back injury in January of 2014, I was diagnosed with a herniated disc that resulted in a left leg numbness and lower back pain. My MRI sowed a multilevel degenerative changes of the lumbar spine, most severe at L4-5 where a 2 mm AP annular bulge with mild right and moderate left facet disease contribute moderate right and severe left neural foraminal narrowing. No canal stenosis at any level in the lumber spine. Since the pain was bearable, I choose to live with it and not to operate. Lately I am feeling pain and numbness in my left hand as well, and almost continuous headaches. I also feel aches and pains in my entire body , always feeling tired. Are they all related , and if so what should I do?? Thank you in advance Samer W. Kaibni

Hi
Welcome to healhcaremagic
After going through your query I concluded that you are suffering from lumbar spondylitis due to which you are having pain and numbness in lower limb. You are also having pain and numbness in the upper limb. It is due to cervical spondylitis. Both of these are related to the sense that these are degenerative disease of spine related to aging.Your pain in whole body may be related to aging but it's more due to vitamin deficiencies. Treatment of it is Diacerine, glucosamine, Mecobalamin, EvionLC and analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. You can discuss with your Doctor about it. Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then please don't hesitate to write to us. I will be happy to answer your query.
Wishing you a good health. Take care.
