Could Palate Red Spots And Sneezing Be Due To Allergies?
I have red spots on the roof of my mouth, started back by the throat. Strep test negative and the MD thought it couldn't be allergies to a new kitten we just got, but probably viral. I have had cats my whole life, the last one just passed away one year ago. We got the new kitten and I had sneezing right when we got home for last two days, BUT my 4 year old daughter also woke with a runny nose/congestion on Monday too! Trying to figure out whether the kitty goes back or it is a cold. THANKS! :)
I went through your history and would like to make suggestions for you as follows:
1. Usually such red spots on roof of mouth are not related to allergies but sneezing could be.
2. If you repeatedly tend to sneeze upon/following contact with a cat/kitten, it is possible that those symptoms are due to allergy to cat dander/proteins.
3. I would suggest you to consult an Allergist who will take your history of allergy symptoms in great detail and ay perform test for allergy cat proteins, which will help to decide whether you are allergic to cat.
Hope above suggestions will be helpful to you.
Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask at HCM.
Wish you the best of the health ahead.
Thank you & Regards.
