Could Pan Colitis Be Due To The Untreated Colitis?
I have a question about Ulcerative Colitis.
May i know usually how long after symptoms appear should a Gastroenterologist give you medication?
Is it a common practice for a GI to make a patient who suffers from severe bleeding diarrhea,stomach cramps and who ran to the ER twice, wait for 2 months before prescribing patient with medication.
May i know if Pancolitis could be the result of what possibly could be limited colitis left untreated and developed through out the entire colon without proper medications for 2 months?

It all depends upon the symptoms of colitis patient have as a matter of facts abdomen pain, diarrhea (Intermittent ) nausea, sick feel, these symptoms cannot be labeled as colitis at once or immediately. It takes a long time for detection or comes to a right diagnosis of colitis, once it confirmed. The colitis then treatment need to be started immediately, if the condition left untreated then it may worsen the condition and that can not be explained here, some time very mild kind of condition of colitis may not need any treatment but diet and symptomatic treatment would be enough to control the illness, underlying cause of colitis is also questioned because it may not be itself, because it is the inflammatory condition of colon.
