Could Persistent Bleeding Piles Be Due To Excessive Alcohol Intake?

I am sufferring from piles for the last 3 years. It is not healing although I have proctodesyl and annovate and daily apply apple cider. I had 2 episodes of fissure also which got healed by dilitiazem. But this haemarroids is refusing to go away although there is no pain, the projection in the ass keeps on growing in size and reduces when I apply the ointment. It is not very painful but there is some discharge in the night if I don t apply apple cider. I do eat lots of spicy food and also drink alchohol two/three times a week. Is the problem due to drinking?

Hi,

If you have these tests already done, then no need to repeat [if I will be your treating physician will suggest this:
Complete blood cell count
HB
Hematocrit
Platelets or coagulation studies
Surgeon can use anoscopy too

Medical treatment includes:
a] Warm bath [twice or thrice daily] tubs/ice can relieve pain
b] High fiber diet 25g/day Metamucil or Citrucel can be used [vegetables, fruits, soft salads] and stop smoking drinking, caffeine, spicy food for 15 days first
c] Adequate fluid intake [7-8 glasses]

Avoid prolonged sitting, keep erect posture. Yes, drinking is also causative agent. Join online art of living [sahaj meditation course] few patients reported early remission when combined with medication. Surgery or laser therapy are also mentioned in treatment when needed [you should also take ones general surgeon opinion] above tests are needed to do give them also preferences.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
