Could Persistent Funal Infection In Penis Indicate HIV Infection?
I had itich feeling under the foreskin of my cock and a lot of white precum type use to be collected over it but recently I had sex with my partner and after a day I had boils type white dots over my cock mushroom head and pains a little and red and boils type thing is over my penis I consulted a doctor he said its kinda fungal infection and prescribe me with tablets and candid gel to use since two days I m using it no progress at all... And I m really tense about what happen as the doctor said if it doesnt get cure in 4-5 days have to do test to confirm hiv and STDs!!! Really scared right now!! Plz suggest if the treatment given is OK or not!

Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Fungal infection is usual in genital area.A swab test can be done to rule out this. If one anti fungal agent is not effective more potent agents will be helpful. I would suggest using more potent anti fungal agents like terbinafine. In case of HIV there will recurrent fungal infection in genital area and oral cavity also. If you had risky unprotected sexual intercourse then it is better to rule out HIV to be on safe side. You can go for HIV Duo test for this. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
