Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Could Pressure And Discomfort Below The Ribs Indicate Recurring Gallbladder Problems?
I hope so feeling pressure on right side just below ribs not pain just di comfort I had trouble with my gall bladder a few years ago right after my heart attack but they didin t remove it due to my weakened state can you tell me if this is my gallbladder acting up and what can be done to solve this issue
The area which you have described in your question is where the gall bladder rests. If gall bladder has some issue like inflammation (swelling, pain etc.) or gall stones then you may feel discomfort, pain, fever etc. I would advise you to get an ultrasound abdomen done to rule out the condition which you are suspecting and get treated conservatively or by surgical intervention, if required.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Anoop Kumar, General & Family Physician
