Could Prolonged Pain In Left Shoulder Be Due To Lying On It A Lot?

I have had pain in my left shoulder for over a month now. At first I thought I had just been laying on it too much because I sleep on that side. I have trouble sleeping on my back or stomach so have no choice but to sleep mainly on the left side. I have another issue with the right side so laying on that side has to be limited. Is there a way to know if it is just that or something else and what should I do about it if it is just from laying on it too much?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, here two possibilities are very likely one is muscular spasm and that could be due to poor posture during sleep second may be some arthritis changes, (Frozen shoulder may be the likely cause) such condition best can be managed with physiotherapy beside the analgesic medicine, try to maintain good posture, hope this information helps, take care.
