Could Recurring Cough Of A 2 Year Old Be Due To Asthma?

Hi my 2 year old daughter has been suffering from a cough since September. Doc has put her on 2 inhalers budecort and Lenovin. I would like to know is this a clear indication of asthma or will it go away ? Also we ve been having lots of renovations going at home since June. Could that be a reason ?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Is there a family history of asthma or allergyin your family? At this age, respiratory infection like bronchiolitis or wheeze associated LRTI can cause symptoms mimicking asthma but respond well to treatment and does not need life long treatment. I advice you to protect the child from exposure to dust and allergens.
