Could Red Rash On Forearms And Arms Be Related To Multiple Sclerosis?

Hi, I have MS, maybe secondary stage, and I ve suddenly developed a red, bumpy, NOT itchy, skin rash mainly on both of my forearms, and the left arm has a red welt too which looks like a pimple but is not a pimple. Could this be related to MS? (NB I also started a drug about a month ago called Prazosin - which has been helping me a lot so far _ could I suddenly, after a month s use of this drug, develop the aforesaid type of rash too?) Many thanks - I don t know whether to come off the Prazosin right away or not. Also, with my MS, I tend to have many, many symptoms - name one, and I have it!! Pamela BAkker

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, fluid abnormalities around fetus or low sugars etc may cause decreased fetal movements sensation however CTG should repeatedly be performed if such is suspected.

Smoking should better be avoided as well. If painful movements are being experienced may be false contractions but if extremely unbearable may need anti spasmodic like drotaverine or mefanemic acid.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin
