Could Red Rashes, Soreness And Tiny Ulcers Around The Edge Of Tongue After A Lump Removal Operation Be Infection?
hello.I wonder if you could help me please.i had a operation on my tounge on friday to remove a small lump from inside the tounge.They went in the underneath of my tounge i have had rapid stitches which im not sure how long it takes for them to dissolve but i have just noticed a red rash on the top of my tounge and my tounge feels very sore today a lot more than normal.also think i have tiny ulcers around the edges of my tounge.do u think i might have infection or is this the healing process and do i just roll with it .thank you claire kidd

hello claire, thanks for consulting at hcm..what was the surgery for ??did u have a fibroma or lipoma?? the stiches will dissolve within7-10 days,, if not u have t go bck to surgeon for stich removal..red tiny ulcers could be apthous ulcers, u can take topical mucopain gel, and a course of antibiotics and analgesics if u rnot taking right now,. if it persists plz consult ur dentist/surgeon..hope it helps..tc
