Could Red Spots And Burning On Penis Tip Indicate Sign Of Chlamydia?

My partner just found out she has Chlamydia and wanted me to get tested. Two days later I noticed red spots on the tip of my penis but they were not open sores just small red spots (not bumps) and I had a burning feeling on the surface. From what I researched I am unclear. She wasn t positive for herpes but to me thats what it seems like my symptoms are. Could this just be from chlamydia as well?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

It could be balinitis or balanoposthitis.

Can you please take a clinical photograph of that red spots or it must be examined by the doctor to get diagnosis confirmed.

The important thing is to diagnose it first by a clinical examination by a general surgeon by doing inspection and palpation.

Here,it does not seem to be due to any chlamydia or any STDs as your partner was tested negative for herpes as stated by you.

The following treatment would be helpful.

1) Hot Seitz bath-Sit for 15-- 20 minutes and also clean off any clear or whitish secretion. Do it at least twice a day.

2. Local Steroid cream/ointment application- Clean off and wipe off the area clean and dry, following which apply local Steroid Ointment Like Betamethasone The bump should start subsiding after 2-3 of Ointment application.

3. You can be given oral antibiotics like cephalosporins (cefadroxyl or cefixime) or quinolones or macrolides.

Consult your general surgeon or dermatologist for complete history and thoroughly clinical examination and further treatment.

Regards,
