Could Redness Of Eyes Be Caused By Portal Hypertension?
I have portal hypertension d/t cirrhosis. Lately in the mornings my eyes are bloodshot and later in the day they look like I have small busted veins. I have had bleeding varices.......but not now. Could the red eyes be caused by the portal hypertension?

yes . The blood vessels in the eye can get dilated as elsewhere in the body which gives a FIERY RED EYE appearance.
