My daughter is on mental disability during last 15 years. She tried many antipsychotic medications without any progress and with many side effects. I suspect Variegate Porphyria underneath of her original symptoms given her from my late husband who had the same physical symptoms (including Psoriasis) but epilepsy instead of mental. Last several months she has problems with sleep and recently(about a month) was prescribed 10mg Saphris in addition to 20mg Zyprexa that she takes regularly. At the same time she began to suffer from sciatic pain, that not helped by Ibuprophen. Can it be the side effect of Saphris and how to help?
