Could Seasonal Allergies Cause Feeling Of Something Stuck In Throat?

Recently I started having this sensation that something is stuck in my throat/behind my right tonsil. When I lay on my right side, the feeling is more prominent. I m a 20 year old female and I don t smoke. My seasonal allergies have been acting up, so I m not sure if that might have anything to do with it? I don t have any medical insurance, so any input would be great.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....

As per your complain feeling of something inside the throat with a history of having seasonal allergies flaring up can be due to constriction in the throat due to allergic reaction and congestion..
Due to closing up of throat there can be a feeling of something struck in throat as well as there can be discomfort while swallowing as well..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluted and a proper clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
As of now take anti allergics like Benadryl and also do warm saline gargles..
Take soft diet and plenty of fluids..
