Could Seeping Of Blood Down The Eyes Be A Matter Of Concern?
I had a blow to my head just above my left eyebrow 2 days ago. it appears that the blood may be seeping down by both eyes on the side of my nose and down it s going towards my cheek at this point. It appears to be blood rather than bruising should I be concerned? I have been using ice and heat today and ice on the day it happened which was Wednesday of this week.
'Blow to my head just above left eyebrow two days ago',since two days passed and you are doing fine -without severe head ache, vomiting and no disturbance in conscious level, vision and no bleeding from nostrils-that rules out any intracranial problem. But if the blow is severe there are likely reasons for this blood seepage down the orbit, cheeks and sides of the nose.1.severe contusion over the orbital margin without any fracture itself can produce blood oozing down which may show up like subconjunctival hemorrhage (blood stain in the white of eye)2.probably a small facture of orbital margin. It is advisable to meet either a faciomaxillry surgeon/Plasticsurgeon or a neurosurgeon and go according to his advice. You will need a CTscan of cranial and facial bone followed by the management accordingly.
