General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The heavy bleeding is normal after an abortion. This should start to gradually improve after a few days, but can last for 1 to 2 weeks. This is normal and is usually nothing to worry about. There is no need to go at the hospital.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
