Could Severe Ear Pain Following A Sore Throat And Antibiotic Treatment Indicate A Serious Condition?
I started to experience a mild sore throat last Wednesday however on Thursday night It got very sore took a covid test and was negative and has been negative every since. However the doctor prescribed pencilin which did not agree with me. He prescribed me another antibiotic today. However I have severe ear pain which has waken me up and my ears feel warm although the pain is more so on the left ear. is there any chance this could be cancer or even glandular fever. He also have Heartburn
First of all Rest assured it's not cancer. Sore throat or Upper respiratory infection may be associated with ear pain since the ear is connected to the nose and throat via eustachian tube, a ventilation tube is there from nose to middle ear. Consult an ENT Surgeon and it can be treated medically in most of the cases.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
