Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Could Severe Pain In Abdomen Be Due To Problem In Gall Bladder?
Yes, my daughter is having stomach problems. She hasn t eating in 3 days and can barely keep any liquid in. She went to the doctor today and got some blood work done and said possibly her galbladder, does this sound right? Sorry can t get answer I guess I have to wait cuz I can t pay for them. :(
Any associated fever or jaundice? Is she able to localise the pain? Can you mention the test reports? Abdominal pain and vomiting can be related to many conditions like acute gastroenteritis, urine infection, appendicitis or acute gastritis. Gall bladder related pain is usually associated with fever, present in right upper abdomen and there can be jaundice also.
Meanwhile, give her analgesic like acetaminophen to control pain, Ondansetron to control vomiting. Give feeds and fluids in small but frequent amounts to improve retention.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
