Could Severe Pain In Gums, Head And Eyes Be Possible Trigeminal Neuralgia?

I am having severe pain on the right side of my gums that goes to my head and sometimes over my eye. It comes and goes at will. I will be having an mri at the end of March for possible Trigeminal neuralgia. Is it possible that a tooth is being pressed or moved by other teeth?

Hello and welcome.

Yes, some times the teeth can cause a partial compression on major nerves causing such a presentation and this can be found from an MRI, but other causes need to be adequately ruled out which are more common to such a presentation.

Best wishes.
