Could Severe Pain In Shoulder Be Due To Tendonitis?

I had two weekends of operating hand held camera with a broadcast level camera. 35-45 lbs. My muscle soreness in my shoulder seems to have developed into a bad case of tendonitis. That s what my doctor said it was. I have a soft tissue bump on the top of the trap where it ends into the arm. Now I have pain underneath the collar bone as well as in the sternum I guessing from where the cartilage attaches. It has now spread to the other side with the same symptoms. I have stopped all activities and it continues to get worse not better. Dr s and PT seem not concerned. Quality of life greatly diminished. Any suggestions or insights as to what is going on? Seems like the whole shoulder system is failing. Is this common with an injury that started in one specific area? Thus far I have received an X-ray and am currently going through Physicsl Therapy. Please let me know if there are any details that need further explanation.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi dear. I am your physician, having a vast years long experience in the field of General Surgery, psychiatry, Radiotherapy, OB/GYN, Internal Medicine, Ottorhinolaryngology and Nutrition and weight loss, and Pain Management. I have carefully gone through your case and in my expert opinion its all natural disease process with this type of injury. Its wear and tear to the muscle and shoulder joint itself which were not previously used to such kind of activities for long time in quick succession. The way u are going is the best one. It needs physical therapy. Stick to the plan of therapist. It takes little time for things to get settled without ending up in chronic disease in such cases.
Dont use that side too much that may cause sprain again. Take red meat in and fresh juices. Take multivitamins with zinc (1 daily for 30 days). Take Calcium tablets(1 daily for 30days). Revitalize your musculoskeletal system with plenty of fluids daily.
Above all, keep calm and never get worried. Hope u to get well soon.
