Dr. Hanif warmly welcomes you with thanks for a consult!
I have carefully worked through your case, and can well realize your health worries. Being your physician, I want to assure, I will take care all of your medical concerns according to the latest medical guidelines.
COPD is one of the contributing factors in lung tissue injury due to
pneumonia. But pneumonia has its own risk factors to develop, like:
• Tobacco consumption.
• Extremes of age (you have not given me your age).
• Lowered immunity (
organ transplantation, cancers, AIDS and other STDs).
• Chronic illnesses (heart diseases, liver diseases,
diabetes, lung diseases, cancers etc). YES COPD is one of them.
• Blood disorders e.g.
Sickle cell anemia.
• Surgically removed spleen (
splenectomy).
• No exercise and lowered body's resistance to diseases.
This
shortness of breath is mainly due to COPD. I preferably suggest you to keep an eye on COPD and keep taking the treatment for it if you are on any.
Plus:
Avoid the risk factors I listed above.
