Could Small Brain Aneuresym Cause Momory Loss And Difficulty To Focus?

I was diagnosed with a small brain aneuresym a year ago. I have seen dr. s. at Southwest Medical Center (Parkland - Dallas) my neurologist here in Longview, TX and have had follow-up MRI s to be sure it hasn t grown. Which it hasn t. But for the last few months I have a a memory loss resulting in difficulty conversing and not able to remember simple things, i.e. zip code, no s. & simple things as adding two numbers together. I am 71 yrs. & retired in January 014. I had got to the point the fall of 2014 of not being able to do a job I had been doing for 30 years. dr. s. here say it is not dementia or early onset alzheimers. But there is definitely something wrong. There is ongoing stress with a grown child with terminal cancer.

Oncologist 's  Response
Hello,

Aneurysm that is stable must not cause memory loss. I think it is related to amnesia and stress. Please visit a neurologist and psychiatrist for clinical evaluation.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
