Thrush is caused by a yeast infection which can extend down into the esophagus. Inflammation from this or other causes could cause a sensation of something sticking deep in the esophagus. It would be a good idea to see a gastroenterology specialist promptly and have an endoscopy done to take a direct look inside your esophagus. Thrush and other infections can be diagnosed this way. Other conditions can also be identified. It is also possible you do have something stuck in your esophagus and with the endoscopy it can be identified and removed. Hope this helps.
