Could Sore Hard Spot On The Area Of IV Be A Matter Of Concern?
I had a IV in over the weekend that wad leaking after 2 different nurses adjusting it instead of moving it the next evening a new nurse chaged right away I was on morphine and antibiotics IV no fluids now I have a one inch sore hard spot at the sight is this a concern I was discharged before finding it

See, prolonged iv line and even extravasation following few days of keeping an iv line leads to local swelling. Sometimes it gets a bit hard or sore. It is not a cause of concern.
Apply thrombophlob gel or equivalent over the sore area twice daily and it will be better in a weeks time. You need not do anything else.
