Could Sore Throat And Swollen Glands Be Due To Viral Infection?
i have had what i think must have been a viral infection of some sort. I had sore throat and swollen glands, my body ached all over, headache and a chill. It lasted 2 days but now i m ok, except my knee which was fine before now aches and its sore to walk down the stairs, could it be related?
Sore throat, body ache, swollen glands, headache, chills and now the knee pain can be due to viral infection. The knee pain can be due to a condition wherein the tendons or ligaments get swollen to cause pain. I would advise you to take an anti-inflammatory medicine with painkiller effect such a Ibuprofen if it suits you as symptomatic treatment along with a PPI like Omeprazole and consult your doctor for further clinical examination, investigations if required and get added treatment as per the findings.
Take bed rest. Plenty of oral fluids. Povidone Iodine gargles. Complete the treatment as per the findings. Second opinion of an orthopedic surgeon if the knee pain does not respond to routine treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
