Could Sore Throat Like Having Cold After Swallowing Chicken Bone Be Serious?
I swallowed a chicken bone last night. I was able to breath and eat normally. I felt it go down today and I only have a sore throat now as if I have a cold. Otherwise I can breathe eat and everything is normal no blood coming out. Should I worry about the sore throat?
Hi, You had a foreign body stuck in your throat before. Now,that foreign body sensation has gone but you have sorethroat. The sorethroat could be due to various reasons 1.injury of mucosa by chicken bone. 2.injury caused by strain due to retching or due to insertion of fingers to induce vomiting or even to feel the foreign body. As you have no foreign body sensation,it might be gone. But it can be made sure only by a direct scopy. So, if the sorethroat is not subsiding or if it is increasing and if there is associated fever or difficulty in swallowing you need to go to the emergency.
