Could Sudden Loss Of Emotions Indicate Onset Of Depression?
Male 49 years old-not overweight--no health history to speak of--very healthy--exercises daily---My husband went out to cut the grass 3 weeks ago--felt normal...after coming in he said he didnt feel right--i tht dehydration--so i hydrated him over the next few days and he still was off--he says he has no emotions--not happy--not sad nothing--and no thoughts in his head--completely empty. He went to his PCP and had bloodwork--routine stuff--only thing abnormal was a mildly elevated cholesterol--we have an appt with a neurologist in `10 days--not sure what to do--should we see a psychiatrist--he has no hx of mental illness. His memory is fine--he works daily--just no personality at all--not good--not bad--just nothing.. eating fine--sleeping fine--all depression ?s are negative except the one about finding no happiness in anything.
