Could Swelling And Pain In Right Abdomen Be Due To Liver Cirrhosis?

I have liver cirrhosis caused from fatty liver and chemo treatment. This also causes Ascites. I saw my Dr yesterday for swelling that is only occurring on the right side of my body (toes to fingers) and intense stomach pain when she pressed on my abdomen and released. The blood work, D Dimer came back elevated but we don t know why. Suggestions?
