Could Swelling In Ankles Be Due To Almpidine?

i am currently on almpidine for high blood pressure. 10 milligrams I have been having some swelling of my ankles yesterday I took 20 mgs and today the swelling is better. I also took 20 mgs today now I have been reading that the meds cause swelling. my swelling has decreased but now I am worried i took to much

Yes , ankle swelling is a common side effect of Amlodepine. If the swelling is mild then no need to worry or replace the medicine but if the swelling is significant then you need to change amlodepine to some other medicines ( for example Telmisartan )

Also never take medicine more than the dose advised . Excess dose of Amlodepine can bring down your blood pressure too much and cause giddiness and weakness . Since you have taken double the dose prescribed to you I would recommend you to get your Blood pressure checked .
