Could Swelling In Groin And Pain In Anus Be Due To Underactive Thyroid?
Hi, I am 51 and my mother died as a result of having lymphoma 3 years ago. I have a swollen gland in my groin which is painful also my anus ????? I have had this before and I let it run its course but am worried that I my have/get lymphoma as my mother had it . I do feel a little unwell with it but ok. I do have an underactive thyroid and in the menopause. thanks can you help

Your groin swelling and under active thyroid is not related. Thyroid has no relation with them.
Your groin swelling can be due to reactive lymph node, tuberculous lymph node, lymphoma, metastatic carcinoma or some other tumour. You should go for fine needle aspiration cytology or biopsy of that lump. It will give you exact idea. Then you should take treatment accordingly.
