Could Swelling Of Ankles And Legs Be Related To Diabetes Or Hypothyroidism?
Yes I have cerberal pasley and I fell about 5 month ago my ankle on my right side is swelling my foot and ankle. Now my left ankle start my left side.d and lam am a diabetes what is hypothyraidism will diabetes make your legs and ankle swelling
Hypothyroidism is a condition where there are low levels of the thyroid hormone
Diabetes does not directly cause swelling of the ankles but this can occur if there is associated kidney disease with the diabetes, then this can cause swelling. Swelling can also occur as a result of (1)venous disease, (2)cardiac disease (3)liver disease (4)trauma
You may want to consider visiting your doctor for an assessment to determine the exact cause of the swelling. This would require physical examination and blood tests.
I hope this helps
