Hi,
Thanks for your question.
After going through your question, I can understand your concern.
I want to know whether these enlarged lymph nodes were there when you have been evaluated for
thyroid nodule.
These lymph nodes are mobile or fixed & its consistency.
Past history of
Tuberculosis.
Any cough, cold, fever, breathing difficulties.
These enlarged lymph nodes may or may not be related to thyroid nodule.
It requires detailed clinical evaluation including to see other sites for lymph node enlargement, ENT and
respiratory tract examination.
Depending upon clinical evaluation there may be need for following investigations -
-
Complete Blood Count.
- CRP, ESR.
- Chest X-ray
- USG of neck and Thyroid.
-
Ultrasonography of abdomen and pelvis to see abdominal lymph nodes.
- Liver function test.
- Renal function test.
Depending upon all above there may be need for biopsy of lymph nodes & /or repeat biopsy of thyroid nodule.
Short term use of antibiotics like amoxicillin with clavulunic acid may be helpful.
Hope this helps you, if so do vote as helpful.
